Brief about PMFME scheme
As part of the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), in collaboration with State and Union Territory (UT) Governments, has launched an all India Centrally Sponsored PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme with an outlay of Rs.10,000 crores to be implemented over a period of five years from 2020-21 to 2024-25. The scheme aims to provide financial, technical, and business support for the upgradation of existing micro food processing enterprises. Additionally, the scheme supports the development of new enterprises and common infrastructure for the selected ODOP products.
